GENERATIONS CHURCH IS MORE THAN A CHURCH IN A CITY WE ARE A MOVEMENT TO THE WORLD
We are excited to announce our first international location in the lively country of Myanmar! The population of Myanmar is 90 percent Buddhist and only 4 percent Christian, so it is our honor to be one of the few christian churches that reside there.
Troy and Jennifer are passionate visionaries who strive to create and grow leaders that exemplify God with excellence. They are passionate to see the broken and lost restored and changed by the power and love of God. They have been in full time ministry for more than twenty years, serving as youth pastors, assistant pastors and now Senior Pastors of Generations Church. They have 3 daughters, Tiera, Kailee, and Rylie who are all serving within the church and are doing ministry as a family.
Their heart for you is that you get connected with Generations Church to gain a family where you can come as you are, but will encourage you to grow and not stay as you are! They hope you come to know God and grow in your walk with Him, find your freedom from the things holding you back in life, discover your incredible and unique purpose, and actively make a difference in your community and our world!
James Htoo Aung's passion for Jesus is unrelenting. He is unafraid to do what needs to be done for the kingdom of God. James Partnered with Generations Church in early 2018 when he traveled all the way from Myanmar to Southern California to study underneath Pastor Troy & Jennifer's guidance, as well as the teaching staff from our Generations Church Ministry School. Mr. Aung had a strong stirring in his heart that he wanted to bring the culture of Generations Church back with him and so the birthing of Generations Church in Yangon, Myanmar began with one man's brave journey and with his unrelenting passion for God.
The humble beginnings of a movement should not be overlooked because the passion of the people combined with the power of God creates a momentum that is impossible to stop. Currently we are renting a building for the church to meet at every Sunday and we are looking to invest into buying a chicken farm so that James and his team can start a business to be self sufficient with their finances. There are more things in the working, and there will always be growth happening at our campus in Yangon, Myanmar.
Every third Sunday of the month Generations Church has mission Sunday where we receive a special Offering for Overseas missions and our Myanmar location is included in that special offering.
